Subscription Instructions:
Web feeds (RSS or Atom) allow subscribers to organize and keep up with web pages, like blogs and news sites, which are regularly up-dated. Most newer versions of browsers allow for easy subscribing to RSS or Atom feeds. Just look for the feed icon,
in your browser's address bar, or on the menu icon bar.
IE 7 users:
- Locate the
on the top right, between the "home" and "printer" icons. - The square will be orange if a feed is available on the page that is open. Otherwise it will be gray.
- Simply click the orange icon to pop up a subscription page.
- Click "Subscribe to this feed" in the yellow box at the top of the page.
- A box will pop-up with the name of the feed and a drop down menu of where you want to save it. IE's default is to keep it in your Microsoft Feeds. To save here just click "subscribe"
- You can access the updates by clicking the yellow star on the top left of your browser and selecting the "Feed" tab for your list. Recently updated feeds will be in bold. Click these to read.
- Alternatively, to view your subscriptions in your e-mail program, save the URL from the address bar when you first click the
and follow your program's instructions for handling web feeds.
Firefox v.2+ users:
- The feed icon,
is located on the right side of the address bar when a feed is available on the page. Otherwise, it is not seen. - Click the icon to go to the subscription page.
- Use the drop-down menu to save the feed in your preferred location and click "Subscribe Now"
- Alternatively, to view your subscriptions in your e-mail program, save the URL from the address bar after clicking the icon and follow your program's instructions for handling web feeds.
